〘Noun〙 A general term for various silver coins minted in the Akita Domain during the Edo period. In the early 17th century, large quantities of cupellated silver, silver oval coins, and silver coins were minted, but they were abolished during the Genroku era ( 1688-1704 ). However, Akita oval silver coins were minted again during the Bunkyu era (1861-64 ).
