...In terms of the material and composition, it is inspired by Yasumura Kengyo's "Hien no Kyoku" (The Flying Swallow), and in terms of tuning changes and melody, it is influenced by Mitsuhashi Kengyo's "Miya no Uguisu" (The Nightingale of the Palace). The tuning is called Akikaze-choshi (Autumn Breeze Tuning), and from the fourth string onwards, it is an ascending form of the Miyako-bushi scale. [Kubota Toshiko]...
