1824 ^* -1881 A samurai and government official from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period.
Born December 1, 1823. A samurai of Utsunomiya Domain in Shimotsuke. Changed his surname from Agata to Ken. Studied Confucianism under Ohashi Totsuan. Devoted himself to the restoration of the Imperial Mausoleum. Became a Churo (senior councilor), but in 1814 was sentenced to prison for his involvement in the Tenguto Rebellion. After the Meiji Restoration, he became a judge in the Ministry of Justice. Died December 12, 1881, aged 59. His pen name was Keishi. He was commonly known as Yuki. His pen names were Toshu and Rokuseki. His works include "Ken Shinjo Shuryo Zakki."

文政6年12月1日生まれ。下野(しもつけ)宇都宮藩士。安形(あがた)を県に改姓。大橋訥庵(とつあん)に儒学をまなぶ。山陵の修復につくした。中老となるが,元治(げんじ)元年天狗(てんぐ)党の乱にかかわったとして禁固刑。維新後,司法省判事となった。明治14年12月12日死去。59歳。字(あざな)は敬止(けいし)。通称は勇記。号は東洲,六石。著作に「県信緝修陵雑記」など。
