Akasha Garbha - Akasha Garbha

Japanese: アーカーシャ・ガルバ - あーかーしゃがるば
Akasha Garbha - Akasha Garbha

...The Chinese translation of the Sanskrit ākāśa-garbha. According to the Mahavairocana Sutra Commentary, the meaning of this name comes from the fact that, just as the void is so superior that it cannot be destroyed by anything, the bodhisattva possesses countless excellent Dharma treasures and uses them freely to bestow happiness on all living beings. In the 14th chapter of the Mahasanghika Sutra, the Bodhisattva Kokuzo is said to reside at the location of the Treasure Bodhisattva, one of the Great Splendid Worlds in the East, but in the Bodhisattva Kokuzo Sutra, it is said to reside at the location of the Supreme Crown of Treasure Buddha in the World of All Fragrances in the West, which is not consistent.
