Kabuki kyogen. Sewamono. 2 acts. Written by Tsuruya Nanboku IV. Commonly known as Sano Yatsuhashi and Oroku and Gan-Tetsu. Also known as Koi no Misao Sato no Fumizuki and Yukari no Hanairomo Yoshiwara. First performed at Edo Kawarazakiza in May 1815 (Bunka 12). Cast included Iwai Hanshiro 5 as Oroku and Yatsuhashi on the bank, Matsumoto Koshiro 5 as Gan-Tetsu, and Ichikawa Danjūrō 7 as Jirozaemon and Denbei. An earlier work in the Sano Yatsuhashi series was Namiki Gohei's Sato Kotoba Awase Kagami, but Nanboku rewrote it and added Oroku, Kosan and his lover Kingorō. 歌舞伎狂言。世話物。2幕。4世鶴屋南北作。通称《佐野八橋》《お六と願哲》。別名題《色操廓文月(こいのみさおさとのふみづき)》《紫花色吉原(ゆかりのはないろもよしわら)》。1815年(文化12)5月江戸河原崎座初演。配役は土手のお六・八ッ橋を5世岩井半四郎,願哲を5世松本幸四郎,次郎左衛門・伝兵衛を7世市川団十郎等。〈佐野八橋物〉の先行作には並木五瓶の《青楼詞合鏡(さとことばあわせかがみ)》などがあるが,南北はこれを書き直し,土手のお六,小三とその愛人金五郎を加えた。
