Kenzan Aochi

Kenzan Aochi
1672-1729 * A Confucian scholar from the early to mid-Edo period.
Born on February 2, 1669. Older brother of Aoji Reiji. Studied under Haguro Yosen and Muro Kyuso. Served in the Kanazawa Domain in Kaga as the magistrate of the accounting office and head of the standard. Died on December 25, 1610. Age 57. His given name was Saiken. His pen name was Hakushi. He was commonly known as Kurano. Another name was Jousui. His works include "Osadasho Kosaku" and "Jin-setsu".
