A Roman writer from around the 4th century. Born in Africa, he served as Governor of Pannonia and Prefect of Rome. After 360, he wrote De Caesaribus (Lives of the Emperors from Augustus to Constantius II). Modeled after G. Suetonius, this is a biographical work that shows an interest in abnormal matters and includes moral commentary by Tacitus.
