Exogenous psychosis

Japanese: 外因性精神病 - がいいんせいせいしんびょう(英語表記)exogenous psychosis
Exogenous psychosis
A term used to broadly classify mental illnesses according to their causes, as opposed to endogenous psychoses. Exogenous causes broadly include physical, environmental, and mental (psychogenic) causes, but when it comes to psychological causes, the term psychogenic psychoses is used, so when referring to exogenous causes, physical factors are given the most importance. Physical factors include inflammation, trauma, tumors, poisoning, acute infections, uremia, diabetes, nutritional disorders, heart disorders, liver disorders, endocrine disorders, and fatigue. Of these, those caused by organic changes in the brain are called organic psychoses, those caused by poisoning with alcohol or stimulants are called toxic psychoses, and those caused by other physical diseases are called symptomatic psychoses.
