Nabataioi

…the kingdom of the Nabataeans (Greek: Nabataioi, Aramaic: Nabatu) was established in what is now western Jordan in the first half of the 2nd century BCE with its capital at Petra. In 63 BCE it became a vassal of Rome, but maintained its independence. In 106 CE, under the reign of Rabel II, it was conquered by Rome and annexed to the province of Arabia.
