Natural religion

…In contrast to the belief in a personal God who is said to be in charge of all things and who punishes and rewards human merits and demerits, this term refers to the belief in a God who created the heavens and the earth but who ceased to intervene arbitrarily in the human world after the act of creation and who governs the universe solely based on the rational laws inherent in nature. It is also sometimes called natural religion. Therefore, it refers to a heretical theology that, in European thought, with the development of civil society and the rise of natural science that began with the Glorious Revolution in England in the late 17th century, denies the traditional doctrines of the Church of England through the penetration of rational speculation, denies the Trinity, revelation, and miracles, and adopts a symbolic and metaphorical interpretation of the Bible. …
