Japanese: 阿知須[町] - あじす

A former town in Yoshiki District, facing the Suo Nada Sea in southern Yamaguchi Prefecture. The central town of Achisu is on the Ube Line and has many fishermen. Small-scale bottom trawl fishing and seaweed farming are thriving. Rice, livestock, and vegetable cultivation such as radishes are practiced, and pickled radish is a specialty. Many people commute to Ube City. In October 2005, it was incorporated into Yamaguchi City along with Tokuji Town in Sawa District, Akiho Town in Yoshiki District, and Ogori Town. ^{25.49 km2} . 8,868 people (2003).

山口県南部，周防(すおう)灘に面する吉敷(よしき)郡の旧町。中心の阿知須は宇部線が通じ，漁家が多く，小型底引網漁業やノリ養殖が盛ん。米作，畜産，ダイコンなどの蔬菜栽培を行い，たくあんを特産。宇部市への通勤者が多い。2005年10月佐波郡徳地町，吉敷郡秋穂町，小郡町と山口市へ編入。25.49km²。8868人（2003）。
