New Harmony (English)

...Party utopias are both theoretical demands and action plans, and in the 19th century, the early socialist movements of R. Owen in England and Saint-Simon and C. Fourier in France are particularly noteworthy. Owen envisioned a communist village based on cooperatives, and in 1825 he attempted to turn this ideal into reality by building New Harmony in America. On the other hand, among the early French socialists, Saint-Simon advocated a New Christianity that preached the superiority of economics and a new love for humanity.
