Ninos

...She was the daughter of the Syrian goddess Derketo (or Atargatis), who was found as a baby and raised by pigeons. She was discovered by a shepherd and became the wife of the governor Onnes. She later accompanied her husband, who was made a general, on the Assyrian campaign to the east under Ninos. When she led the Assyrian army to capture Bactra, Ninos, captivated by her bravery and beauty, sought her out, and Onnes, in despair, committed suicide.
