A former town in Ogi County, central Saga Prefecture. Occupying reclaimed land from the Middle Ages facing the Ariake Sea, it is dotted with farming and fishing villages, and is a thriving rice and seaweed farming town. In March 2005, it merged with Ogi Town, Mikazuki Town, and Ushizu Town in Ogi County to become a city, Ogi City. 16.67 km2 . 6,427 people (2003). 佐賀県中部，小城(おぎ)郡の旧町。有明海に臨む中世以降の干拓地を占め，農漁村が散在，稲作とノリ養殖が盛ん。2005年３月小城郡小城町，三日月町，牛津町と合併し市制，小城市となる。16.67km2。6427人（2003）。
