This manor was located in Niwa County, Owari Province. It is considered to be in the area of present-day Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture. It was established during the Shoreki era (990-995) when the Niwa County governor Yoshimine (later the Tachibana clan) donated the land to Fujiwara no Michinaga, with the head family as the head. The position of lord was passed down to the main line of the Fujiwara clan, the regent family, and from the Kamakura period onwards it became the domain of the Konoe family. It seems that the Tachibana clan retained the position of lord. Development progressed in the early 12th century, and the Koyumi Manor Development Office was established. During the Hogen New System that began in 1156, the Owari provincial governor attempted to abolish the land as a kano, but the lord argued that it was a villa. During the same period, the former governor of Yamana Manor (present-day Fuso Town, Niwa County, Aichi Prefecture) confiscated Yamana Irino as the kano of Koyumi Manor, which suggests that the manor area was expanding due to development and other factors. In the early Kamakura period, disputes arose over lands such as Mizoguchi Shinbatake and Irukasako. During the Nanboku-cho period, the Toki clan, a member of the Owari Shugo clan, engaged in violence against Iga no Kami Takayama, and in 1353 an imperial decree was issued ordering an end to the violence. In 1385, Konoe Michitsugu confirmed the donation of the ryokei (feudal lord's position) to Ryoka-ji Temple in Kyoto, which had been founded by Toseki Shiren. It is confirmed that the land belonged to the temple until 1466, but in 1480 it was transferred to Kaizo-in, a subtemple of Tofuku-ji Temple. During the Muromachi period, the ryokei (feudal lord's position) came to be expressed as "Inuyama ryokei (feudal lord's position) within Koyumi-sho", and it is believed that the ryoke's domain was limited to the Inuyama area.
