A god who appears in Japanese mythology. Meaning a god endowed with many thoughts, or a god who thinks deeply. In the "Nihon Shoki," there is a legend that he is the son of Takamimusubi no Mikoto. In the "Kojiki," he is written as Omoikane no Kami and Tokoyo Omoikane no Kami, and in the "Sendai Kuji Hongi," he is written as Yatogami no Kami and Yatogamikane no Kami. The "Nihon Shoki" also records that this god "plotted deeply and considered far-reachingly" to take measures to lure Amaterasu Omikami, who had secluded herself in a rock cave, and explains that this god is a god "possessing wisdom and thought." In a story before the descent of the heavenly grandson Ninigi no Mikoto, he selects one god after another to be sent to earth, successfully transferring the country, and actually accompanies him on the descent. He often appears in legends together with Ameno-Tajikarao-no-Kami, and there is a theory that he was thought of as a pair with Ameno-Tajikarao, one god of physical strength and the other of intelligence.
