...The species previously named "nagadromushi" is the same as this one. The closely related "flat-headed dromushi" (Mataeopsephenus japonicus ) belongs to the Psephenidae family, and its larvae are found attached to stones on the riverbed. It is yellowish brown and round, and its English name, water-penny beetle, comes from its shape.
