From 【Rape】

… Proving rape requires evidence of injury to the victim's genitals or surrounding area, injury to various parts of the body that is presumed to be the result of resistance, evidence of the use of drugs or poison that rendered the victim mentally incapacitated or unable to resist, injury to the assailant's body caused by the victim's resistance, the state of disarray or damage to the victim's and assailant's clothing, and the presence or absence of semen on parts of the body that would not be expected in consensual sex. [Wakasugi Choei]
[Victim's perspective]
In patriarchal societies, rape is often defined not from the perspective of the victim, but from the perspective of the man (husband or father) who is considered the female victim's guardian. This perspective on rape has created a social climate that blames the female victim as well, and often leads female victims to hide the fact that they have been victimized.
