Japanese: 生ノ松原 - いきのまつばら

A pine grove on the coast of Sawara County, Chikuzen Province (present-day Nishi Ward, Fukuoka City). It is said to be named after a pine tree planted by Empress Jingu. The pine grove stretches for 2.5 km, and Iki Shrine, dedicated to Iki Naomaneko, is located here. Kumano Gongen within the grove was enshrined in 1293 (Einin 1) at the request of Tahobobo, by the Nagasaki clan, the deputy governor of Higo Province, and their vassals. A stone wall (partially restored) was built on the beach at Higo Province's share, and it became the work area for the guards. It was here that Higo Province's troops fought bravely during the Koan War, and is also depicted in the Mongol Invasion Illustrated Scroll. It is part of the Genkai Quasi-National Park.

筑前国早良郡(現，福岡市西区)の海岸にある松原。歌枕。神功皇后手植えの松にちなむという。松原は2.5kmに及び，壱岐直真根子を祭る壱岐神社が鎮座。境内の熊野権現は1293年(永仁1)他宝坊の発願で肥後国の守護代長崎氏や御家人らが勧請した社。肥後国の分担で砂浜に石築地(一部復元)が築かれ，警固番役の勤務処となった。弘安の役では肥後国の軍勢が奮戦した舞台であり，《蒙古襲来絵詞》にも描かれている。玄海国定公園の一部をなす。
