Saccolabium

...The former was introduced to Europe in 1839, and the latter was discovered in Indonesia in 1846. The genus Ascocentrum was once classified as part of the genus Saccolabium . Intergeneric hybrids have also been developed, such as Ascocenda , which was crossed with Vanda , and Ascofinetia , which was crossed with Neocallinum orchid, and are also noteworthy for their breeding.
