...All sea creatures live in the ocean, from the intertidal zone to the deep sea floor at depths of several thousand meters, but a very small number of species live a planktonic life in the deep sea. Due to their overall shape, they are called sea cucumbers or sea sausages. In general, echinoderms have a pentad-shaped body, but sea cucumbers have an elongated, cylindrical body between the mouth and anus, and have a distinction between anterior-posterior and dorso-ventral, giving them secondary bilateral symmetry.
