A & P - A & P
The official name is The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company Inc. It is one of the world's leading American retailers and chain stores, focusing on food and general merchandise. Its headquarters are in Montvale, New Jersey. It is a long-established American retailer founded in New York in 1859 as a retail store for GF Gilman (1826-1901). In 1963 it was renamed the Great American Tea Company, and in 1969 it changed its name to the current one.
