Japanese: shuttle
shuttle

…The heddles are made of wire or sheet metal, and in hand looms they are made by twisting threads (Figure 3). When the warp threads reach the desired shedding state due to the up and down movement of the heddles, the boat-shaped shuttle I, which contains the weft threads wound around a wooden tube, is moved left and right to insert the weft. At this time, the reed fixed to the sley L, which swings back and forth, moves backward, and the shuttle flies along this reed and lace M (fixed to the sley so that it is in contact with the lower warp threads of the shedding), and the weft thread is pulled out of the shuttle and inserted between the two groups of warp threads (the shed) above and below. …

From the Space Shuttle

...American space transportation rocket. The word "shuttle" originally referred to a loom's shuttle, which moves back and forth between threads, and so the name came to be used to describe a transportation vehicle that travels back and forth regularly and frequently. As can be seen from this, the Space Shuttle is different from conventional rockets in that it is a rocket that can travel back and forth between the Earth and space, and the Orbiter is a winged rocket vehicle like an airplane.
[composition]
The Space Shuttle consists of two solid rockets, an external tank, and an orbiter.
