There is a custom in various regions of holding an autumn festival on the day of the Double Ninth of September, called "Okunchi" or "Oku-nichi," but in the Kyushu region, it is also used simply to mean the festival. In some places, it refers to the 19th or 29th. The Okunchi festivals at Suwa Shrine in Nagasaki (October 7-9) and Karatsu Shrine in Karatsu (November 2-4 since 1968) are famous. →Related Articles Snake Dance | Suwa Shrine | Nagasaki [City] Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
