synchrotron orbital radiation

Japanese: synchrotron orbital radiation(英語表記)synchrotronorbitalradiation
synchrotron orbital radiation

...The phenomenon in which a charged particle moving at close to the speed of light in a vacuum emits part of its energy as electromagnetic waves when it traces a circular orbit due to a magnetic field, and this electromagnetic wave is also called synchrotron orbital radiation, or SOR, an abbreviation of the English synchrotron orbital radiation. It was first observed in the late 1940s, and was subsequently considered harmful to particle or high-energy physics experiments as a major energy loss mechanism in high-energy circular electron accelerators.
