A medieval village in Teshima County, Settsu Province. It occupied an area from the southern part of Toyonaka City, Osaka Prefecture, to the western part of Suita City. According to the 1189 field ledger for the Nara Kasuga Shrine territory, it had an area of about 560 chobu, and consisted of four villages from east to east: Tarumi, Enoksaka, Ozone, and Hozumi. Later, Hattori village was separated from Hozumi village, and in the late Middle Ages, it was called the Five Villages of Nangō. In 1183, the Tarumi Nishimaki territory was donated to the Kasuga Shrine by the regent family (Konoe family), and within it were provincial government territories, rank fields, and farm fields, as well as other territories such as the Suita manor of Seijuji Temple in Tarumi village, the Tarumi manor of Kyoto Toji Temple in Enoksaka village, and the Urin-in territory in Hozumi village. At the end of the Kamakura period, the Imanishi clan, the deputy head of the Kasuga Shrine family, took control of the area, and established a system of administrative offices to collect and organize local influential people. In the late Muromachi period, the Ikeda clan, who were vassals of the shugo, and others spread as stipend holders. → Kasuga Taisha Shrine Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
