Tamper

… A rammer is a machine that uses the explosive force of an internal combustion engine to give the entire machine a jumping motion, and then compacts the soil by the impact of falling to the ground. A tamper is a small compaction machine that transmits the driving force of a small gasoline engine or compressed air to a striking plate via a spring and compacts the soil by striking and vibrating it.
