Terebellidae

...A general term for annelids belonging to the order Terebellida of the class Polychaeta. This name comes from the numerous tufts of thread-like tentacles at the end of the head. They live under boulders on the coast or in rock crevices, but some live on the muddy bottom of the deep sea. There are about 650 known species worldwide, and 60 known in Japan. They are 3-10 cm long and have 100-250 segments. The body is divided into three parts: the head, thorax, and abdomen, and is almost cylindrical, thickened at the front and tapering toward the back.
