Thelyphonida

...A general term for arthropods belonging to the order Thelyphonida, class of arachnids. They are mainly distributed in tropical regions, but in Japan, the Amami false scorpion Typopeltis stimpsonii (illustration) lives in Kyushu and the Ryukyu Islands, and the Taiwan false scorpion T. crucifer lives in the Yaeyama Islands.
