…It is a disease in which the liver becomes hard, and the word derives from the Greek word kirrhos (yellowish) because the liver of a cirrhotic patient is yellowish. There are two types of cirrhosis: primary biliary cirrhosis, which develops mainly from hepatitis, and primary biliary cirrhosis, which occurs due to a non-viral autoimmune mechanism.
