Kienböck's disease

…The main lesion is avascular necrosis of the lunate bone, one of the eight carpal bones that form the wrist joint. It was reported in 1910 by Robert Kienböck (1871-1953), an Austrian radiologist. As a result of Kienböck's detailed report of the clinical picture and X-ray findings, this disease came to be called Kienböck's disease.
