Japanese: 大三島[町] - おおみしま

An old town occupying the western half of Omishima Island in Ochi District, Ehime Prefecture. Known as the location of Oyamazumi Shrine, Miyanoura in Torimae Town is the main settlement. The town produces mandarin oranges and also engages in fishing. The Omishima Bridge on the Onomichi-Imabari route of the Honshu-Shikoku Bridge passes through the town. In January 2005, it was incorporated into Imabari City along with Tamagawa Town, Namikata Town, Onishi Town, Kikuma Town, Yoshiumi Town, Miyakubo Town, Hakata Town, Kamiura Town, Sekimae Village, and Asakura Village in Ochi District. ^{43.32 km2} . 4,261 people (2003).

愛媛県越智(おち)郡，大三島西半部を占める旧町。大山祇(おおやまづみ)神社の所在地として知られ，鳥居前町の宮浦が主集落。ミカンを産し，漁業も行う。本州四国連絡橋尾道〜今治ルート大三島橋が通じる。2005年１月越智郡玉川町，波方町，大西町，菊間町，吉海町，宮窪町，伯方町，上浦町，関前村，朝倉村と今治市へ編入。43.32km²。4261人（2003）。
