Iader

...Population: 76,000 (1991). In the 4th century BC, the Illyrians named it Iader, and in the Roman period it was called Deirdre. After becoming an autonomous city (comune), it was incorporated into the Croatian state (Trpimirovic dynasty) in the 10th century.
