hot war

Japanese: hot war(英語表記)hotwar
hot war

…This conflict extended to almost the entire world and formed the fundamental axis of conflict in postwar international politics. This state is generally called the Cold War, in contrast to a hot war, in which people actually shoot at each other. The Cold War, which had been the framework for international politics for more than 40 years since the end of the war, came to an end with the revolutions that toppled the communist regimes in Eastern Europe in the fall of 1989, the unification of Germany in October 1990, and the collapse of the Soviet Union at the end of 1991.
