A general term for Shosagoto performances based on Otsu-e paintings. In many cases, people and animals from the paintings step out and dance. (1) Otsu-e Sugata no Hana (Otsu-e Figure Flowers), Nagauta. First performed at the Edo Ichimura Theater in February 1778 (An'ei 7). Lyrics by Nakamura Jusuke II. Music by Kineya Shojiro I. Choreography by Nishikawa Senzo II. Three pieces by three performers, "The Girl Carrying the Wisteria" (Arashi Koshikibu), "The Zatō" (Ichikawa Takizō), and "The Slave" (Otani Eisuke), in three different forms. 大津絵を題材とした所作事の総称。絵の中の人物・動物がぬけ出して踊るという形が多い。(1)《大津絵姿花(おおつえすがたのはな)》 長唄。1778年(安永7)2月江戸市村座初演。作詞2世中村重助。作曲初世杵屋(きねや)正次郎。振付2世西川扇蔵。《藤かつぎの少女》(嵐小式部),《座頭》(市川滝蔵),《奴》(大谷永助)の3曲で3人による3変化形式。(2)《歌へす歌へす余波大津絵(かえすがえすおなごりおおつえ)》 長唄・清元。
