House register - Kaokudaicho

This is a public register that records the location and house number of a house in order to clarify the status of the house, and was established based on the House Register Act of 1947 (Showa 22). It was abolished in 1960, and is now registered in the title section of the building register (Article 44 of the Real Estate Registration Act).

家屋の状況を明確にするために、家屋の所在、家屋番号などを登録する公簿で、1947年（昭和22）家屋台帳法に基づいて設けられた制度。1960年に廃止され、現在は建物登記簿の表題部に登記されることになった（不動産登記法44条）。
