Grosser katechismus (English spelling)

…It was written by taking the tradition of faith education for believers from the early days of the Christian Church and applying it to the Reformation's standpoint of Bible-centered, God-centered, and faith-centered. Since 1527, Luther, who was concerned by the state of faith ignorance among believers during his tour of churches in the Electorate of Saxony, has been explaining baptism and the Eucharist in addition to the Ten Commandments, the Apostles' Creed, the Lord's Prayer, and other things he had been preaching and writing for the past 10 years. The Small Catechism (Kleiner Katechismus) and the Larger Catechism (Grosser Katechismus) are summaries of his sermons. The former is the foundation for baptism preparation and faith education for the youth, and was first translated into Japanese in 1895. …
