Kabuki dance. Nagauta. Original title: Namimakuratsukinoasazuma. One of the seven transformation dances called Tsukiyukihanananagori nobundai, which was first performed by Bando Mitsugoro III at the Nakamuraza in Edo in September 1820 (Bunsei 3). Lyrics by Sakurada Jisuke II, music by Kineya Sakichi II, choreography by Fujima Kanbei III and Ichiyama Shichijuro II. The image of a prostitute who comforted travelers on a boat on Lake Biwa was copied from a painting by Hanabusaiccho, and turned into a dance in which she plays a Shirabyoshi in a suikan (water-clad garment) and a tateeboshi (standing hat). The lyrics sing of the fleeting life of a prostitute, and the composition is excellent. The highlights are the dance that uses kudoki, kakko, and furitsuzumi. There are also songs with the same name in other genres such as Tokiwazu, Sokyo, and Utazawa.
