Estigarribia, JF (English spelling) EstigarribiaJF

...World War I brought a lull, but in 1932 a border conflict with Bolivia broke out over oil reserves. Both countries exhausted their military forces, leading to a ceasefire in 1935 and an armistice in 1938 (Chaco War). In 1939, the political situation seemed to be stabilizing under the competent government of José Félix Estigarribia (1888-1940), but his unexpected death put a stop to it. Amid continued political instability, civil war broke out in 1947, and the Colorado Party was established, but the president was replaced one after another due to internal conflicts within the party.
