Ebroin

…Pippin the Middle Ages (von Herstal) was mayor of Austrasia (c. 680), but was defeated by Ebroin, mayor of Neustria and Burgundy (680). After Ebroin was assassinated, he took over both offices and achieved the reunification of the Frankish kingdom under Childebert III (c. 683-711) (687).
