Dranse

The Rhône flows into the lake from the eastern part, cuts through it, and flows out again from the western end, flowing through the city of Geneva on the lake's shore. Other rivers flow into the lake, such as the Drance to the south and the Veveyse to the north. Surrounded by the Alps to the southeast and the Jura mountains to the northwest, the lake's scenery is exceptionally beautiful, and has been praised by many people since ancient times.
