In summer, large, pouch-shaped, crimson-purple flowers with dark spots grow on inflorescences at the ends of the stems. The stems branch at the base to form clumps that grow upright and reach a height of about 1m. The entire stem and leaves are covered with soft hairs. The leaves are ovate-oblong, 10-30cm long, 3-8cm wide, tapering to a stalk at the bottom and with blunt sawtooth edges. Many flowers open sideways in the racemes. …
