There are also dishes that are made throughout the country, such as tortilla, a round, flat omelette with vegetables, and cocido, a stew made with meat, beans, and vegetables. Common to all dishes is the extensive use of olive oil, garlic, beans, dried cod, and processed pork products such as ham and sausages. As the region faces the Mediterranean and Atlantic Oceans, seafood dishes are also often served at the table.
