coalition government

…Under a parliamentary cabinet system, a coalition is a government in which multiple parties cooperate to take charge, as opposed to a single party in a single government. It is roughly the same as a coalition government, in which multiple parties form a cabinet, but the term coalition government is somewhat broader and may include a minority government maintained by the support of parties that cooperate outside the cabinet based on a policy agreement. Depending on the combination of parties that form the coalition, it is distinguished into a grand coalition and a small coalition, with a coalition between major parties being called a grand coalition and a coalition between one major party and a small party being called a small coalition.
