Cervus nippon (English name) Cervusnippon

…In a broad sense, it refers to all mammals of the genus Cervus, subgenus Cervus, order Artiodactyla, but in a narrow sense, it refers to only one species, Cervus nippon (illustration). The subgenus Sika is a medium-sized, graceful deer native to East Asia, with a white area (tail speculum) that can be spread on the buttocks, a pale metatarsal gland on the outside of the midfoot of the hind foot, and grown antlers that are usually three-pronged.
