Barid Shahi (English spelling)

...The first four kingdoms to gain independence were: (1) the Imād Shahi Kingdom (1484-1572) of Fathullah Imād-ul-Mulk, governor of Berar; (2) the 'Ādil Shahi Kingdom (1489-1686) of Yusuf Adil Khan, governor of Belgaum; (3) the Nizam Shahi Kingdom (1489-1636) of Ahmad bin Nizamul Mulk, governor of Daulatabad; and (4) the Qutb Shahi Kingdom (1512-1687) of Sultan Quli Qutb Mulk, governor of Telengana. (5) In the 1520s, when the Bahmani dynasty's royal line was cut off, Amir Barid, a vizier of the dynasty, established the Barid Shahi Kingdom (1528-1619), which gave rise to five kingdoms. These kingdoms are sometimes named after the territories they ruled.
