The unit of currency has been 1 ruble = 100 kopeikas consistently since the 18th century, but the minted copper and silver coins had different names, such as altyn for 3 kopek copper coins, pyatachok for 5 kopek copper coins, and grivennik for 10 kopek silver coins. From 1769, paper money called assignatsiya was issued, but its value continued to fall against the standard silver coins, and in 1812 it was converted to 4 paper money rubles = 1 silver ruble. …　貨幣の単位は18世紀以来一貫して1ルーブルrubl’＝100コペイカkopeikaの単位を用いてきたが，鋳造された銅貨や銀貨について，たとえば3コペイカ銅貨がアルティンaltyn,5コペイカ銅貨がピャタチョークpyatachok,10コペイカ銀貨がグリベンニクgrivennikと呼ばれるなど，それぞれに異名があった。1769年からアシグナーツィアassignatsiyaと呼ばれる紙幣が発行されたが，その価値は基準貨幣である銀貨に対して下落しつづけ，1812年には4紙幣ルーブル＝1銀ルーブルに換算された。39年の大蔵大臣カンクリンEgor Frantsevich Kankrin(1774‐1845)の改革によって紙幣は廃止され，その代り43年から信用券が発行された。…
