The transience of something that glitters for a moment and then disappears in an instant is also a characteristic of beauty, and this may give rise to the attitude that beauty is beyond my reach, but if it is beauty in the sense of ästhetisch, then according to the above definition, it is a value that humans cannot help but be involved in. …

…On the other hand, since the Meiji and Taisho periods, intelligence has been translated as wisdom or wisdom, and in the Taisho period, the Latin word intelligentia, which refers to the ability to recognize the supernatural and intellectual worlds, was translated as wisdom. Aristotle called the thinking ability unique to humans reason nous in contrast to sensation aisthisis, and said that it includes noesis, which is the ability to intuitively grasp principles and origins, and dianoia, which is the ability to analytically discern and abstract. In the Middle Ages, Thomas Aquinas called reason intellectus or ratio, and although both terms are sometimes used synonymously, the former includes intellect of principles and intelligence, which is the ability to recognize the supernatural world, and in this respect follows the lineage of Aristotle's intellect.
