Y alloy - Y alloy (English spelling)

A type of heat-resistant aluminum alloy. It is made by adding 4% copper, 1.5% magnesium, and 2% nickel to aluminum, and can be said to be an alloy in which nickel has been added to super duralumin to improve heat resistance. Its strength increases with heat treatment. It is used as a casting or forging, and is used in engine parts that require heat resistance. 耐熱アルミニウム合金の一種。アルミニウムに，銅4％，マグネシウム1.5％，ニッケル2％程度を加えた組成で，超ジュラルミンにニッケルを加えて耐熱性を改善した合金ともいえる。熱処理によって強度が上がる。鋳物および鍛造品として使用され，耐熱性を要求されるエンジン部品などの用途がある。アルミニウム合金【大久保 忠恒】
