French female pianist. Born in Nîmes in the south of France, she studied at the same conservatory and graduated from the Paris Conservatory. While performing mainly in Paris, she also founded a private music school with Thibaud in 1920, and in 1943 founded the Long-Thibaud International Music Competition. She taught at her alma mater, the Paris Conservatoire, from 1906, and as a professor of piano from 1920 to 1940, she nurtured talented pianists such as François. She was also known for her close friendships with modern French composers such as Fauré, Debussy, M. Ravel, and Milhaud, and premiered many of Ravel's works, including Le Tombeau de Couperin (premiered in 1919) and Piano Concerto in G major (premiered in 1932). Her books include Debussy and Piano Pieces (1960).

フランスの女性ピアノ奏者。フランス南部のニームに生まれ，同地の音楽院に学んだのちパリ音楽院を卒業。パリを中心とした演奏活動の一方，1920年ティボーとともに私立音楽学校を設立し，1943年には〈ロン=ティボー国際音楽コンクール〉（音楽コンクール）を創設した。1906年から母校パリ音楽院（コンセルバトアール）で教え，1920年−1940年ピアノ科教授としてフランソアらの逸材を育てた。フォーレ，ドビュッシー，M.ラベル，ミヨーらフランス近現代の作曲家との深い交友でも知られ，ラベルの《クープランの墓》（初演1919年），《ピアノ協奏曲ト長調》（初演1932年）など多くの作品の初演を手がけた。著書に《ドビュッシーとピアノ曲》（1960年）など。
